IDF SHELLS SCHOOL USED AS UN SHELTER KILLING 19 WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN LATEST OTRAGE / COORINATATES WERE GIVEN 17 TIMES GAZA STRIP, OCCUPIED TERRITORIES- An IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) tank shell slammed into a UN shelter in the Jabaliya refugee camp, killing 19 women and children as they slept. The shelter, a school, was housing internally displaced Gazan civilians from other areas of the Strip under heavy IDF attack. The coordinates of the UN shelter/school was given to the IDF no less than 17 times. This IDF has hit UN shelters, schools and hospitals several times, killing and wounding scores of civilians, mainly women and children. The Israeli military said that it is investigating this latest slaughter of innocent civilians. Over 200 children have been killed since Israels Operation Protective Edge began. In all, 1200 Palestinians have been killed, the vast majority (75-80%) have been women, children and the elderly. Over 6000 Palestinians have been wounded by IDF air strikes, tank and artillery fire, mortars, naval fire and by small arms. The ground offensive pushing deeper into crowded Gaza, shows no sign of letting up. 53 IDF soldiers have been listed as KIA, including 13 killed (along with 8 seriously wounded) from the elite Golani Brigade, 36th Armored Infantry Northern Command, in a single incident. Close to 300 IDF soldiers have been wounded in engagements with Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters. The militants have used anti-tank rockets, rocket-propelled grenades, small arms and IEDs to great effect. The Qassam Brigades continue to fire missiles into Israel. Most missiles nearing populated areas have been intercepted by Israels Iron Dome system. As Israels murderous ground operation moves closer to heavily-populated, over-crowded inner Gaza City, the IDF will have to deal with snipers, increased numbers of IEDs and heavily-booby trapped buildings. Casualties on both sides are likely to rise significantly. A UN spokesman said the world stands disgraced by this latest butchery of Palestinian civilians by the IDFs powerful military. He added that targeting a known civilian position is a clear violation of the internationally recognized rules of modern war. In short, this was a war crime. Clearly, Israel doesnt consider Palestinians, even innocent women, children, infants or the elderly, human beings. They are an enemy to be eradicated.
