***IMPORTANT INFO FOR PARENTS OF BUS RIDERS*** If your student needs school bus transportation for the 2013-14 school year, please read the following information. Registrations prior to July 1, receive a significant discount. Annual registration by August 1st is required for all students. After July 1st, full fare will be required. •Durham School Services provides free bus transportation for BVSD students who live 2.5 or more miles from their assigned school OR for students who qualify for the federal free lunch program and for qualified children enrolled in some special education classes. •Bus transportation is available for parents who want to purchase service for children who live less than 2.5 miles from their assigned school. •If you have questions about mileage and attendance areas, contact your school.
