INCIDENT UPDATES | It was a long night for crews from Wyee Point last night. At approx 20:00hrs we were responded to report of bush alight in Wyee. Upon arrival crews found an area of bush alight in a difficult to access location. It took many crews several hours in light tankers to safely access the area and extinguish the fire. At approx 00:30hrs Wyee and Wyee Point crews were then responded from the incident to a car alight nearby. These crews extinguished the car. A huge thanks to the other crews on scene from Wyee Rfb, Charmhaven Rfb, Mannering Park, Wadalba, Warnervale, Martinsville, Lake Munmorah and Group 4 Bravo for their assistance. Thanks also goes to our after hours comms operator Stuart for his hard work manning the radios. A job well done by all.
