IPC HAND SOLDERING COMPETITION IPC hand soldering competition at IPC APEX India 2014 at the Bangalore KTPO Trade Centre, from 20-22 May 2014 The reliability of electronic equipment is ensured by zero defect soldering processes. This contest recognizes the best skills in hand soldering complex electronics equipment. Who is the best of the best in India? If you think you have what it takes to be a champion of hand soldering, then bring your skills to the IPC hand soldering competition at IPC APEX India 2014 at the Bangalore KTPO Trade Centre, from 20-22 May 2014. Participants compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within the given time limit. Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610E Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly. IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as the judges. PRIZES: • Winner gets FREE Admission to a J-STD-001E Certification course worth 36,000 • Runner up gets FREE admission to a IPC-A-610E Certification course worth 20,000 TERMS: • Number of participants is limited, so participation is on a first come, first served basis. • IPC India reserves the right, in its sole discretion on selection of the participants. • Nominal entry fee per participant is Rs1,000 for Members & Rs2,000 for Non-Members plus applicable service tax to date. *Winner and runner-up of the Hand Soldering Competition at APEX INDIA 2014 will be eligible to participate in the IPC HAND SOLDERING India Championship in 2015.
