IT Dept officials raided vehicles with goods consignments, more than Rs 60 Lakh goods seized bearing no declarations (unlawfully) at Rangpo check post. Targeting the vehicles those are coming inside the state from Siliguri the officials camped stringently at check post. Big Question : If per day Rs 60 lakh goods in average is shipped inside the state bearing no official details(unlawful), then in 365-1 = 364 Days, Goods smuggled inside state worth nearly 2184000000~ 218.40 Cr !!! So, that much is the figure illegally smuggled before ? Who is responsible ? Or, why Dept of IT is doing all of sudden ?
