Id love some advice, reassurance even... --------- Hi Canberra Mums, Id love some advice, reassurance even.. My two boys are 9 and 6 and are turning my hair grey way too early for my liking. Majority of the time they get along as good as can be but when theyre bad theyre REALLY bad! My 6 yr old has a habit of clawing his older brothers face if he loses to games or is just fed up with his antics, hes also drawing on walls etc which frankly I think should occur at 3 not 6. My husband and I have a decent disciplinary schedule, we take things away, we ground them, send them to time out and Im certainly old school as far as smacking too. My question (plea) is if this is a normal stage for siblings. I feel like Im always scolding or being cranky with them and that they spend majority of their days grounded. It doesnt make for a very happy mummy. Im hoping theres other Mums out there with boys that can tell me there is light at the end of this tunnel or what things worked for them. Ive tried giving each of them some quality time alone with each parent and expressed that my eldest can escape to his room and not be bothered by his little brother if he needs space, because as a typical worrier I feared it was something lacking in their life and they were acting out. My instincts are saying its a faze hence my need for reassurance. Thanks in advance and by all means dont hold back, I know how different opinions vary and I have relatively thick skin. :)
