(Writings of Nichiren Daishonin - The Opening of the Eyes - Written to Shinjo Kingo in February 1272) Buddhism is often explained in allegory and metaphor. We do not see "devils" as actual entities but representations of the self. And "hell" is not an actual place but a state of being.
