If there should be only one educational video I would recommend my fellow friends to indulge in this year: I must have been selfish in savouring this piece of wisdom for my own pleasure; it resonates profoundly with my belief in th power of commonwealth, th compassion & empathy that is essential to humanship. I apologise. However, in light of th recent protests in Hong Kong, which a few friends have condemned as unruly and unnecessary, I humbly offer an incredibly- if not magically- insightful lesson by Dr. Gabor Maté on addiction. Over here you might find that th uprising to threats of oppression in HK is not only necessary, but simply another brave frontier of civilisation. It beautifully explains why th few people in power are often most powerless in shaping a better world.
