If you want to e-file tax return, you should know the below: To file Income Tax Return, we should fill the Employer Category in ITR form. The options are GOV, PSU, OTH, NA. GOV - Govt Organization PSU - Public sector undertaking OTH - Others (Private companies) NA - Not Applicable (In case of HUF etc) Most of the private companies salaried employees filling the basic details wrongly as PSU or NA instead of OTH. In these cases, chaireturn rep calls the client and explains the meaning and will take the confirmation that Employer Category is OTH.
