Im a Working Mom: I set my alarm clock at 5:30am just to hit snooze so I feel like I got extra time to sleep.. Out of bed at 6:00am and I attempt to get dressed to the sound of a crying baby & barking dogs (my wonderful mother in law gets twins to school). Once dressed I have to put the hard headed great dane on a leash to force her to pee. I leave the house at 7:40am if Im lucky to take Tyler 35 mins away to my mom.. Then I fight traffic for another 30 mins to make it to work...Once at work its nonstop until I get off between 5:30pm to 6pm, then drive 30mins to pick up Tyler and 35mins to get home (longer if I have to stop at store) I usually get home after 7:30pm and do whatever chores I can fit into the night while getting Tyler ready for bed (again my wonderful mother in law takes care of twins bath time & homework) while I figure out dinner & listen to my husband make fun of my butt crack showing as I clean up after dogs. After feeding dogs plus a rabbit I pass out before it looks like Ive done anything just to wake up and repeat... I dont post this to get praise or pitty, but to reminder everyone to be nice to working moms everywhere! I cant even count on my hand the number of times someone has complained about stuff not getting done or things being overlooked... and from someone who juggles everyones needs over her own & tries to manage more tasks than hours given, yet it looks like NOTHING has been finished & you only have time to shave one leg.. Well, this is what a working mom does everyday!! We are late for everything to find a missing sock, we eat last when dinner is cold, and yet somehow there are days people expect more... Hug your mom & hug your wife because I can bet they feel unappreciated more than you realize! Hell, surprize her and do the dishes, better yet do some laundry & this time include her clothes too for a change!
