Soil is composed of really well-rotted hay (nice, dark , fresh smelling compost from last years hay bales), topped with purchased compost and well-aged manure (coo, sheep, poultry blended) to about 30cm deep, but two packets of fresh organic seed has failed to produce more than 2-3 seedlings! Ive since sprinkled Multiguard around the bed (to protect my other plants from the snails, which are now significantly reduced if not completely gone)....any other advice?
