Im not sure what you do with most of your day, but I spend most of my day discussing (arguing?) with Jewish members of the millennial generation (to which technically I belong) that while its probably true that you can glean best practices for being a human being from all sorts of world literature and philosophy (indeed, I glean regularly from the fields of Whitman) that nevertheless one might elevate the Jewish textual and intellectual tradition over other traditions, not because the Jewish tradition is necessarily superior, but because it is more *precious* to me -- it is an inheritance of sorts. This is rarely a convincing argument.
