Im posting this because I am also supporting Howie Hawkins...for Governor and Brian Jones, as his Lt. Gov...I got this email from Diane Ravitch Friends -- I voted for Zephyr Teachout in the Democratic Party primary. Now I am voting for Howie Hawkins and Brian Jones of the Green Party in the general election. Please join me. I am voting Green because Howie Hawkins and Brian Jones have pledged to restore integrity and ethics in Albany by reconstituting the Moreland Commission to investigate political corruption. Governor Cuomo closed it down without explanation. I am voting Green because Howie Hawkins and Brian Jones have promised to ban fracking, which gravely threatens our states environment. Governor Cuomo wont say where he stands on fracking and I am afraid of what he will announce after the election. I am voting Green because Howie Hawkins and Brian Jones will fully fund our public schools, will stop the over-testing of our students, and will not open more privately managed charter schools. They promise to rebuild our public schools, which enroll nearly 90% of the state’s children. This week Governor Cuomo said he wants more charter schools, more tests, and more privatization. I believe him. His name will appear on four different party ballot lines — but all four are still a vote for Cuomo. I refuse to vote for privatization, fracking, and corruption… on any ballot line. I want to ensure a better future for our state and for our children. And that is why I am voting for Hawkins and Jones on the Green Party ballot line. Please join me. -Diane Ravitch
