Im so very fortunate to have lived in this time. I had the best of everything. I was born in the perfect time, In 1982. It just so happened that the video game industry crashed in 1983 due to a wide amount of poor quality games put out on the selves. It was revived in 1985 by Nintendo, who did a soft release in New York, which in 1987 spread like wildfire across the US, reigniting the industry, I remember the very first night my old man came home with my Nintendo. It was in the middle of the school year. I was 5 years old and I remember that afternoon we had picked up a Slurpee at 7-11 on Kendall and 97th ave. There, they had a Super Mario Bros. Arcade and I was lucky to play it. On the way home my dad asked me if I wanted that game. I remember saying dad how am I going to fit it in my room? To which he smiled and laughed. So later that evening, I was doing my normal routine after having played outside on my bike till the sun went down, then inside with my Ghostbusters figures and the firehouse. I remember he walked in with a Sears bag...through it I could see the beautiful box that incased what would soon go on to define a huge part of my childhood.
