Important information for Open Water Challenge 2 - 6th December. • Members are reminded of the rules of the Elgin Grabouw Country Club regarding food and drink that were sent out with the info flyer • The entry gate to the Country club premises will be closed at all times. Upon arrival, members must press the buzzer, and just say ‘Swim’ or ‘Swem’ when they answer • Swimming will take place at the rowing club side – not the cricket pitch side. • ONLY organisers and service providers will be allowed to enter and park at the rowing club area behind the tennis court, as there is now very limited parking available. • ALL other members must park in the parking area designated by the Country club. Please advise your members to adhere strictly to this instruction – no exceptions • The rowing club side has been beautifully cleared, with lovely lawns planted and a paved area laid. Absolutely NO vehicles will be allowed on the new lawns. Members may put up gazebos & umbrellas • The Country club will have a food and drink stall set up near the swimming for our members’ convenience • Our members are also welcome to make use of the restaurant for a sit-down brunch or lunch, or even take-aways. We look forward to seeing you all at the new and improved facility, and would just like to remind you to bring lots of block-out, but swimmers must NOT put on until after they have been marked. Officials, please bring your hats and necessary protection – particularly those that will be out on the boats (Turns Judges at buoys).
