In 2013 our government spent 3.45 Trillion dollars What is a trillion? If you took $100 bills and laid them end to end and covered a football field and did that back to back, piling them on top of one another 10 feet deep, that would be a trillion dollars. If you had a trillion dollars and you spent 1 million dollars per day since Christ’s birth (2014 years ago) you would still have to spend a million dollars each day for the next 700 years to reach a trillion. If you counted one number per second (which is not possible because, fr example, 470 billion 9 million 375 thousand 4 hundred and 50 just can’t be done in a second) BUT……..if you could it would take you…… 16 minutes to get to a thousand. 11.5 days to get to a million. 31 years 251 days 7 hours and 36 minutes to get to billion How long would it take to get to a Trillion (reading one per second) would take 31,000,688 years to count to a trillion. That’s how big that number is.
