In answer to my last post..... This is what I threw together with the savory things: handmade mayo, withFairy Egg yolk, mustard powder, anchovies, capers, fresh garlic, white vinegar, Fairy lemon rind, salt. Whisked as you drizzle extra virgin olive oil until thick. Add a dash more vinegar and rest. Fry the bacon with thyme, garlic, chives. Leave all the juicy bits in the pan and drain the bacon on paper towel. Slice and chop the bread, add to the juicy bits and fry, adding chopped chives. Drain also. (You just made croutons!) Make salad bits, I squeeze the toms to get extra juice to the mayo. Mix in the bacon, croutons and fresh basil, parsley and chives. Eat greedily! Jo
