Morgan (18) scored 110 not out off 92 balls in a century that included five sixes and 11 fours. The WA teenager was called up to the Australian Under 19s side after representing WA at the Under 19 National Championships. Australia Under-19s coach David Fitzgerald said that it was pleasing to see Morgan perform strongly in the quad series and his attitude and work ethic were noticed by Cricket Australia staff on that tour, who provided opportunities to captain Australia at Under-19 level. “He is a powerful and dynamic top order batsman, who is boundary focused, but is developing a tighter defence to add to his scoring ability,” he said. Mr Fitzgerald also noted that Morgan had continued his strong form back in Perth, scoring 108 for WA in his debut in the Toyota Futures League last week. “Jaron has worked very hard on his fitness and professionalism over the past six months and needs to continue to improve in these areas and his general cricket skills to put his hand up for Australian selection in the Under 19 World Cup team in February,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
