In my quest to find what would happen to Faslane and Coulport in an independent Scotland , I have been hit with the most obvious answer , What about trident and the jobs it brings to Scotland just now. We would lose our jobs. Now I can respect their concern , but from what I have found out about trident makes it damaging to the NO campaign should we go independent. Right now Trident is a money pit , we can all agree to that one at least , but it is not owned by the UK and it is and controlled by the US , See the 1958 MDA (nti.org/media/pdfs/56_4.pdf?_=1316627913).Also if they where to move Trident down south , then this is the questions we should be asking , Where are you going to put it? The reason being it is in Scotland right now is the FACT we have deep waters and it is in an smaller populated area.Also if they do decide to move Trident , which they have no where to put it , then the US will pull trident as it no longer benefits them. At this moment in time we are all getting bombarded with the fear mongering from both campaigns but more so the BT campaign , anyways I strongly urge anyone who reads this to go and find evidence to dispute this, If you can then please enlighten me as I for one can not see any where for them to put it other than Faslane. i do hope this will give some comfort to the workers of Faslane and I will continue to find out as much as possible.
