In the event of a NO vote on September 18th, i wont be angry at Westminster for the elevated inequality, tyranny and exploitation of our nation thats sure to follow.......... Ill just be gutted that our people as a majority were too afraid to stand up against it. The main rhetoric and general vibe from No and undecided voters (which i always try and objectively consider) is that they want answers. Theres too much uncertainty surrounding how Scotland will function in real terms. I totally get that! Its human nature to fear the unknown. Humans generally require a certain degree of certainty in their mind in order to feel conviction within their decisions. But the realm of uncertainty is just as important. Youre on tenterhooks when you go for that new job, youre apprehensive when you begin a new intimate relationship with someone, you naturally feel uncertain when you come to make any decision in your life that offers no solid, concrete facts. But no progress has ever been made by staying within the realm of safety. Thats because in that place its impossible to grow. Life becomes stagnant! A fear of the unknown is not a valid reason to try and justify to ones self that their current situation is acceptable. I dont need promises from the SNP (who may not even be in power after our first election). You only need to consider the horrendous social and economic situation that Westminster has created for the rest of the UK to understand that this is not something we want to be a part of any more. Most countries have had to fight and die in an attempt to be free from their oppressor. All we have to do is cross a box on a piece of paper. I hope our people stand up for themselves and also represent those in our country less fortunate than them. I hope people listen to that gut instinct inside that says - Weve given our partner the benefit of the doubt for too long. Now its time to take matters into our own hands. Time to dictate our own future. Whatever that may be. Im excited about forging our own destiny. Alba gu bràth
