In the story about the Samaritan woman who had five husbands, Jesus, without ever meeting her before this encounter, told her the detailed truth about her past. She later testified to her neighbors, “He told me everything I ever did.” Jesus knew all of the embarrassing details about her, but He still loved her. Jesus knows the embarrassing details about us, but He loves us, too. Because of His mercy, He would rather redeem us than expose us. Wouldnt the world be a much better place if those who call themselves Christians would learn to do the same? What if our main goal was to reconcile people to Jesus rather than expose their issues? Truth is, we all have our own issues, even those that are condemning others the most. John 8:7 (NLT) They kept demanding an answer [of Jesus], so he stood up again and said, All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!
