Land purchased for a rec center in Lewisburg Written by Ali Stevens on Saturday, November 8, 2014 @ 5:34 AM · WKOK News LEWISBURG – A recreation center will be coming to Lewisburg after all. The Daily Item reports Robert Grayston, a West Chester resident with ties to The Valley, signed a $1-million purchase agreement for the 90,000-square-foot property at the Pennsylvania House Commons site. Grayston reportedly has plans to turn the space into a sports-oriented center, similar to an idea pitched by Playworld Systems CEO Matt Miller. Miller was working to build a state-of-the-art wellness center at the site when he announced in October that the project was cancelled, due to key supporters pulling out. After Grayston learned that the original concept had fallen through, he decided to keep the ball rolling and has reached out to the Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority and Bucknell University to guage their interest in the project.
