Is home made cleaner cheaper? Heavy duty floor cleaner recipe: ONLY use this and it leaves floor spotless. 1 cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon liquid dish soap, cup baking soda, 2 gallons tap water, (very warm.) It leaves everything smelling amazing. This is a recipe I received on FB as a heavy duty floor cleaner. I did the price comparison with Our Solution Bought Direct to SAVE . This sounds great but have you ever broken down the costs. 1 jug of vinegar (4lt)= $3.50 = 16uses, 1 box baking soda = $2.00 = 2 uses x 8boxes = 16 uses = $16.00, 1 bottle cheap dish soap = $2.00 = 40 uses or .05 cents per usage or .80cents for 16 uses. Total to make this cheap cleaner = $20.50 for only 16 uses. I used pricing from items in my home that I had marked prices on. They were all purchased on sale. This is not a cheap solution to your cleaning. If you want to save money and have a safe product, I have one that would cost you only $7.76 and would make about 64-2gallon pails of cleaner, or 1/4ounce per 2 gallons of water. A 16 ounce bottle = .12cents per usage. 16uses = $1.94 when compared to the home made solution above at $1.28 per use. 16 uses = $20.50 It is not cheaper making your own. This is a natural based product using tea tree oil. It is safe for kids and pets. Our Solutions are Bought Direct to SAVE!
