Is sin to be struggled with as a follower of Christ? Basic - TopicsExpress

Is sin to be struggled with as a follower of Christ? Basic answer that most people dont teach today is the no. How so? Upon putting our faith in Jesus we should no longer wrestle with sin - but actually crucify it. This is what the Word teaches... Instead of putting your sin on life support, making it a secret thing that nobody knows about, go ahead and kill it, have a funeral, and do away with it. Paul wrote about how we are to crucify our flesh daily and get that junk out so we can move on to wrestling not against flesh and blood but against the real problems, the things going on in the heavenly realms. Jesus even said: If you want to follow me you must first deny yourself, and pick up your cross... He, being God, also said: He who puts His hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for my Kingdom. This all makes so much sense: I have been to many, many churches and met many, many ministers, pastors, evangelists, teachers, prophets, and apostles... When I step back and ask myself: Out of everyone Ive met which ones are leading the most people to Jesus and being the most fruitful for His Kingdom? Without a doubt they are the ones who stand firmly on the solid rock of righteousness and purity. To say that living a life of sin, even secret sin, is acceptable as a Christian is to make a mockery out of the costly blood of Jesus.
