It has been 17 years today that the voice of a generation passed - TopicsExpress

It has been 17 years today that the voice of a generation passed away. I know that so many people hate rap and to tell the truth nowadays I have very little love for that uninspired meaningless crap, but Tupac Shakur was in a class by himself, it was more than rap it was the emotions of urban America expressed in a way that no one could duplicate. His words and his voice made you feel like he wrote the song for you, and if you ever watched an interview you realized that the man was a creative genius. I remember in the early 80s when Marvin Gaye was murdered how my mother cried, I could not understand how she cried so hard for someone that she had never met. I did not cry when Pac passed but so many did, he was my generations Marvin Gaye, he was so young and talented and left us way to soon. He still inspires, but he will never be replaced, I hope that he is resting in peace.
