It is time to begin color selection to repaint my multicolored Spit. Originally, way back, was going to do silver with black pinstripes to recreate the tan ones on my car. Then decided white with American Racing twin blue stripes like I painted my hardtop. Then was thinking of a metallic slate/light Cobra blue with twin white stripes. Or a light metallic blue with a stripe like a TR250 across the nose in reflective paint. Now the interesting bit. My car was originally brown, and it gets so hot in the TX sun that you can burn your arm or hand touching it after being in the sun for a bit. The yellow trunklid is warm and you realize that its best not to keep your hand on it very long. The white bonnet is barely warm to the touch. My tan softtop is warm to the touch on the inside, yet the white hardtop is cool to the touch outside and inside. Its a tough call. Thoughts? Ill be painting a small test spot with metallic light blue to see how that conducts heat as well.
