It is with great sadness and regret we announce TVNZ is looking to outsource most of its Maori and Pacific shows to independent production companies. Tagata Pasifika is one of those shows TVNZ would like to see made externally. What this means is TP will no longer come under the TVNZ umbrella, instead a yet to be confirmed production company will take over. This means all of TPs TVNZ staff would be made redundant, with no guarantee of a job with external production company. Rest assured TP will still be here next year, but may look a little different. Wed like to take this opportunity to thank the millions of viewers who have supported our show over the past 26-years. Its been an absolute privilege to serve our communities.
