It is with heavy heart that I share with you that someone in a political position has ordered a friend of mine to delete my supportive comments for her community activities. Speaking ill of me to a mutual friend was ill-becoming of a community leader: it certainly does no credit to his image and future voting successes - or not! Sadly, it appears that retiring from public office does not insure me from derogatory remarks. Now this unpleasant behaviour has been taken to a new level by demanding that my support of the friend doing a fine job be deleted from FB. Please learn from this unwarranted victimisation that FB can be used as a tool by unscrupulous people - in this case a person in whom the community placed their faith when they voted last year. I do not intend to honour that person by naming them: they do not deserve to receive publicity of any kind.
