It makes me so proud and somewhat overwhelming to have such a living heritage. I can also trace in the distance those brave souls who crossed the land bridge from eastern Asia and Russia to settle the north American Continent and the rest of the Americas 20,000 years ago. That is my grandmother Natividad Gomezs heritage gift to us. It is clear my mother Janet Hartel, and grandfather Deiderio Gomez was more of European heritage and decent. I have 30 % Native American DNA and 63% Western European DNA and trace DNA from South Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia, following the trade routes and slavery. Many many African slaves dies in the mines of Mexico along with the Natives worked to death by the Spanish Conquistatdores looking for gold.
