It seems we are heading towards another direction that is far from reality of freedom of expression and liberty of worshiping- Where in our constitution (article/clause/paragraph) does it say that one requires a written permit from police for one to deliver a sermon(khutba)in a mosque or for that matter in a church/temple ?Is it justified for security agents to enter a mosque and disrupt faith proceedings through harassing,beating,shooting and arresting muslim worshippers? A mosque deserves an ultimate respect and must be free from any encumbrances either by those present in the mosque or by external forces. If muslim worshippers have committed an offence, let the security agents arrest them when they come out from the mosque instead. There is urgent need to address this issue at a round table so that the laws are made clear to every one instead of security agents using vague excuses justify their malicious actions. The government is employing wrong methods to counteract terrorism and other insecurity menances.Islam and Muslims are not in any way a threat to this material world but it is the world and its people who are infact threatening stability, peace ,security and harmony. Islam is no doubt the religion of peace and it is impossible for mankind to have true peace and security without Islam.The Islamic approach to the moral problems does not match the approach used by philosophers, because it aims at changing the system of life and reconstructing in it the light of the moral teachings of Allaah. Islam is a living, dynamic, revolutionary way of life, a social system and a state. Therefore it uses the powers of state for the establishment of justice and virtues. Critical to the fight against Global terrorism is an ability to move beyond presuppositions and stereotypes in our attitudes and policies,thus the religion of Islam is regarded as the cause, rather than the context, for radicalism, extremism and terrorism.
