Its 2015 and I cant help but reflect the many things that happened in 2014, a year that presented many challenges and the year I turned half a century. We all have a purpose in life and its quality is determined in knowing our purpose and how we choose to fulfill that purpose. I have always believed that the reason for our existence is to care for others, otherwise, life would have no meaning. Think about it....if we cared only for me, myself and I, humans could not coexist. Hence, whether people realize it or not, caring for others as a guiding principle is what makes this world go around. We can go further in improving the quality of our own lives if we are generous with that care and putting others first before ourselves. Being generous with this care applies at home, the workplace and to our communities. To care for others at home should be instinct and it takes a little more effort as you step outside the house. However, as you will see this effort is worth it and much more since for example, it makes good business in the workplace. Care for customers, staff, distributors and shareholders are the pillars needed to sustain a growing business. In short, the more care the better for business. Finally, care for your community is needed to improve and sustain the standard of living for everyone. Building roofs over families who cant, providing education for children, providing medical care, and providing job or business opportunities for the less privileged will benefit not only the community itself but the country as well over the long term. I intend to continue living my life in 2015 by putting others first before myself and I hope everyone who reads this does so as well. Have a Happy New Year and may all of us be showered with abundance in wealth and health so we can care and give more.
