Money? Fuel? The environment? How much would we gain? We would gain a fruitful little economy that provided fresh fruits and vegetables - clean without the constant toxic poisons sprayed on foods. We would also gain back community and a love of the land. Just imagine children picking their dinner from their front yard instead of the supermarket.
