Its Thursday at my quiet desk, and during our lives we face those times when we must make a decision about something. Not just a choice, where we choose between eating the sandwich with white or wheat, but one that will define our character and morals; one that is clearly right or wrong. It may not be the choice you WANT to make, but NEED to make...because its the right thing to do. Miroslav Volf said: “To live with integrity, it is important to know whats right and whats wrong, to be educated morally. However, merely KNOWING is not enough. Virtuous character matters more than moral knowledge. The reason is simple: like the self-confessing apostle Paul in Romans 7, most of those who do wrong know whats right but find themselves irresistibly attracted to its opposite. Faith idles when character shrivels” Today I pray that when decisions in your life must be made, that you pray for direction, and that you choose to do what is morally and ethically right.
