Its been a summer of fun, of comings and goings...not a lot of opportunity for motorcycle riding, sadly. BUT I knew come this morning, 40 degrees or 80 degrees, that I intended to be on the bike, riding in memory of Heidi and Mike...two people that I was familiar and friendly with, but not close in any sorts. But today, riding, with the wind beating us, the leaves littering the sky and that awesome, thunderous sound of the motorcycles, every sight, smell and sound represented Heidi and Mike to me, and the tears fell. They fell for the people of my community, for the sadness the ensued that horrible day and for some, for the rest of their lives...they fell for just the thought that something so heinous could happen in my small town, to the people of my neighborhoods, they fell for the day to day happenings in our towns of late that make me incredibly sad. BUT today was also a day to see people I dont normally see often, to laugh and be happy...which I think would make Heidi and Mike happy. To those who suffer from this great loss...When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~ Kahlil Gibran
