Its definitely been a pretty tough one day at a time type of summer. Its been teaching me a lot about patience, allowance, and staying present. One of the real tricky parts of life is to stay truly present in the face of discomfort- pain (physical or otherwise), anger, boredom, stuckness, fear, uncertainty,... Life doesnt always happen according to plan. Why is that so difficult to accept? I know its not necessary but for some silly reason I feel the need to apologize for not staying more connected and keeping you all up to date as I initially intended. I am so grateful and lucky to be the recipient of so much love and support and sometimes part of me feels guilty for not reciprocating or sharing more. As we all know life definitely has its seasons and ive definitely been in a very inward space lately. But I still love ya! Also, not sure is its appropriate to share publicly but were trying to decide what to do with the Jakes Journey Fundraiser. I think its pretty awesome you all fairly effortlessly raised over $3,400! The time (days left) will be ending soon and were not sure if we should try to extend it, let it end, or what. Its been pretty quiet, probably due to lack of maintenance, updates, etc. Any thoughts/ideas?The money has and will continue to help pay the bills for my visits earlier this year to the health clinics in Florida and Arizona, hospital visits, scans (insurance deductibles, etc). Also to my current treatments- Ozone therapy (we recently purchased an ozone generator and im doing this therapy at home!), Vitamin IV therapy (thats in Burr Ridge), etc. youcaring/medical-fundraiser/jake-s-journey-fundraiser-/160940 Lastly, Ive been trying to practice more gratitude lately on a daily basis and I think you should too. If youre reading this, Im glad youre alive! Especially during these crazy times on planet earth. Love, Jake
