Its the bottom of the 9th, 3 balls, 2 strikes and 2 outs. Nothing but a HR will do this evening. Ive done more learning than hunting this week. Ive learned about deer, bow hunting, managing a lease, tracking, climbing stands and patience. Ive learned a lot about myself. Spending the last 6 days in Missouri on my very first bow hunt has been nothing short of amazing. I have been within a couple yards of several doe and sat eye to eye about 5 feet from 2 last night motionless for what seemed like an eternity and never spooked them only to have two big ones come in behind me just as the light ran out. I watched these two thru the binoculars at 5- 7 yards as they stood there and watched me. With no ethical shot, they walked and spent the rest of the night getting my heart beat back to normal. I guess like any sport, you pay your dues and wait your turn and when mother nature is ready, she will give up one of children. Until then, Ill continue to practice and learn and wait my turn!
