It’s hard out here for a PIMP! Yea, it’s hard out here for a Person In My Position and not only that but it’s hard out here for a Person In Ministry, Period! (This isn’t only for me but it’s for everybody doing your part so even though I say I or me, it’s for you too; so make it personal.) See, you look at me and see my smile but you don’t see the tears I just dried. You look at me and see my blessing but you’d never guess about all the things that have me stressing. You look at me and see God’s glory yet you never even stop to ask my story! Oh, it’s hard out here for a person in my position. Now please understand, I am not a minister, preacher, bishop, evangelist or teacher yet I am simply someone God has called on for a purpose. I won’t lie and say I’ve been called to preach because I haven’t but I’ve been called to reach all those who need a daily dose of devotion. Sure, some will say it’s a calling but I simply say it’s my purpose and with this purpose comes attacks from every side and that’s because the devil has to block God’s chosen from choosing to do good. It’s like when folks expect the Pastor to never make a mistake but always want him or her in preacher mode but can’t they relax some days? Just because someone stands in the pulpit or even accepts their calling, you can’t expect him or her to never stumble because everyone who is called, led, spiritually touched, anointed or delivered by God is subject to make some mistakes for Romans 7:17-23, says (me paraphrasing) every time I try to do good, bad appears. Every time I try to walk right, left appears looking better. Every time I say I’m going, something holds me back. Every time I try to walk through the door, it closes and then locks. I try but it’s hard. Yes, I believe but it’s even harder. I even keep my faith but that makes this the hardest. Verse 24 (The Message Bible) says, “I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?” Then Romans 7:25 says, “The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does.” Yea, it’s hard out here for a person in my position but I’m in the best position to be in because I’m in God’s army. It may be hard but there’s a reason for it because with my position there’s purpose in my pain, passion in my prayers and power in my praise! Yes, it’s hard out here for a person in my position but with my position comes hope, joy, an abundance of love, forgiveness, repentance for my sins and best of all; God who is my shield and protection, my provider, my pain reliever, my mind regulator, my heart fixer, my sleep aid, my early morning prayer partner, my mid-morning praise giver, my afternoon pick me up, my midnight rocker, my yes man, my burden easer and my load carrying partner. Yes, this position may come with a few trials, tribulations, storms, restless nights, more enemies than you care to have, some hurt to your heart, some knock down moments and tears but it’s all worth it when you’ve completed your task and your retirement comes with a payoff that no man can count and an eternal living that surpasses all the hell you’ve been through here on earth. Yea, it’s hard out here for a person in my position but it’s meant for me so I’ll play my role and play it to the best of my ability. Yea, it’s hard out here for a person in my position but no one can fill it like me!
