Ive actually been anticipating today for a few days! Im not quite sure why. Today, in 1937 my Dad, John Gaskins was born to Sidney I. and Alverta Gaskins. He would have been 77-years old and enjoyed every minute of it. In fact, I can be sure that he would have called me, as usual, and in his baritone voice asked, Do you know what today is? It was important to him that I not only knew his birthday, but acknowledged it to him! Who does that? My Dad. The following Note I wrote a while ago and I just might update it this year, but until then, these are the things my Dad taught me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!
