Ive always said that my Mom and Zara have had a special bond, but I never knew how important that bond would become. Almost a year ago, my Mom suffered a serious illness that left her hospitalized for a long time. My Mom lost her memory, except for Zara. Kept asking for Zara. She couldnt remember her children, where she lived, etc., just her Grandchild. After being released from the hospital, there were many months of therapy. The only thing that could calm her down and help her concentrate was Zara. Zara would sit just like below and let my Mom pet her for hours. Zara was an instrumental part of my Mom regaining most of her memory back. Zara and my Moms bond is stronger than even now. So proud of my girl. She has no formal therapy training, just loves her Grandma
