Ive had some good news from my surgeon!!!! My histology on the colon theyve removed shows extensive ulcerative colitis but no Crohns! !! They said had they known this before they wouldnt have left some of my colon behind. As it is theyre going to closely monitor it & treat it as required so may need further surgery in future & still a risk of cancer in the bit left but currently the outlook is better than it was ;-) On closer inspection of CT I definitely have infection originating from wound surface but abx Im on now should sort that so all good & going home today :-)
