I’ve only been back in Sweden for 3 days and am already thinking about where to hike in the States next time so I just ordered Erik the Black’s “Tahoe Rim Trail Package” (wall map and pocket atlas) so it looks like I’ll be starting out in California and Nevada. This trail is only 165 miles long so maybe I can combine it with a hike in another part of the country – find something in the Dakotas maybe. Now all I have to do is think of a proper cross country road trip by Amtrak and other after hike events. Starting in California will also give me a chance to actually get Scott and Alex Zinda out to dinner as I’ve promised I would.
