Before EGW was Milliam Miller who together with Joseph Bates initiated the Sabbath Message, then came William Foe and Huzzen Foss. William Foe (black) and Hazzen Foss received the same message EGW was given first. When God gave them (William AND Hazzen) the visions on Sanctuary they rejected the message. The message came back to them twice and the rejected it and never told anyone what they had seen Eventually Ellen Gould Harmony received the same same visions and related them. That is where she started from!!! Later in her life some new message came to Alonzo T Jones and Waggonner, they started with enthusism but later their faith died out, they left their faith. William Miller also left his faith and died out the faith, only EGW stood to the bitter end
