JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED. For those of you who didn’t know, three - TopicsExpress

JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED. For those of you who didn’t know, three months ago I was pulled over by the police in Darlington, and to my shock and horror was told that my car had no insurance on it, and this had been the case since December last year. An immediate 6 Points, a £200 fine, and £150 to get my car out the pound, and there’s more, my insurance premium immediately went up £500, and I was told that it would be another 5 year before I would see it return to normal. So I stood to be out of pocket to the tune of nearly £3000. Anyway, I immediately contacted Asda Insurance, who informed me that I did receive a letter about my renewal, and that they’d also called me. I requested the recording of the phone call and to my astonishment, found that their advisor when asked the question by myself “It’s only a renewal I don’t have to do anything”, to which he replied “Yes”. Armed with this evidence I submitted a claim, and low and behold over the weekend I received the fantastic news that my claim has been upheld, and I’m now to be fully compensated, Points removed from license, and a payment for the inconvenience they’ve caused me. So the morale of this cautionary tale is to never let these big companies have their own way, and watch out for these on-line renewal activations, as someone else is bound to get caught out like I did.
