Joe is back home from the Salmon River where he fished the Douglaston Salmon Run along with a few other places along the stretch including the lower fly zone. And Joe saw fishing from the rt 3 bridge and from the town pool. But Joe wants to thank his fishing buddies Alexander Lawn, Phillip Wolf and Rich Von Ohlen for having incredible patience with a novice fly fisherman. They took the time and had the patience with someone who couldnt cast right and couldnt tie a knot, much less walk in rough terrain and navigating rocks in a river. These men could not have been more patient and more encouraging. And Rich Von Ohlen gets special thanks for getting Joe all put together with the right gear. Joe and his ugly stick will be ready for steelheads in 3 weeks and with meeting 4 other fishing guys including cap jimmy and the great Matthew DiNardo who as Joe has heard is the most enthusiastic fisherman around. Fish on boys. Fishing Beer and Cigars..and steaks!
