Joined in Potes by Lynne, Jane and Neil. Out last night exploring the charms of the old town. Lovely raciones with sidra followed by local meal involving lots of chickpeas and meat washed down with a nice local red. Got lost on our meander back to the hotel and found ourselves in the very old part of town with small houses still occupied. A local resident looked at us warily as he unlocked his door and went into the darkness inside. Reached a dead end and the only way on was up a muddy ginnel at the end of which we found ourselves in a small medieval square. All that was missing were the chickens and pigs. I spied what I thought was a way out through another narrow alleyway and sure enough at the top was the main road back into town. Had to sit down to wait for the others thinking Id just been through a time warp. Weird. Neil sis convinced if we go back it will not be there. I think hes right!
