Just a heads-up to anyone who sends me a private message on Facebook today. FB is trying to force me to install the standalone Messenger app on my phone, and is now holding messages/chat on my phone hostage until I do. Ive tried the Messenger app before and actively hate it, so Im going to see if theres a way to circumvent it and either go back to accessing messages through the main FB app or find a third-party option after I get home. But, until then, please dont think Im ignoring you :-) (Im making this public with the probably empty hope that someone who works for Facebook might see this and interpret it as a complaint about this policy, which in part it is)
