Just a thought, if we need 60% of a vote to get constitutional amendment passed why isnt it the same for elected officials? As i was looking over the voting results most states it came down to a few percentage points between those running, if HALF of a state disagrees with the other HALF isnt there something wrong with the official running for office? I say we keep holding elections till someone is put in office with 60-70 percent of the vote, atleast then there isnt a question if the election was held again tomorrow that it would have a different outcome. This would also force individuals to campaign on more than im not obama but run on something solid that people can believe in. The amount of people i saw who voted and stated they voted for the lesser of two evils why would you want any evil in office? our two party system is why we are where we are as a country and until people stop looking through their affiliations blinders we will never become the greatest country in the world again.
