Just about fifty six years ago I was a serious aircraft spotter.Cycled around to most of the south eastern airfields big and small, with notebook, pen and binoculars,logging aircraft registrations.Anyway after two or three years I moved on and followed less nerdy pursuits.Now,all these decades later I am living just a mile or two from one of those airfields,namely Fairoaks,near Woking.I cycle their several times a week ( no notebook, pen,or binoculars ) just to soak up the ambience,and relive those days.
