Just answered the door to people begging on behalf of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The very place that told us we were not fit to look after a cat and turned us away, based solely on our appearance (we fitted all their criteria as potential owners- had a house with a garden, someone in all day. A steady income etc etc and yet a family of straight looking people with three fighting kids who lived in a tower block flat were allowed to adopt a cat just before us) I have never forgiven them for turning us down in such an arrogant manner that day and making Tommy cry as a three year old. We now have seven, very happy, cats living with us. So no, I will not be donating today.
