Just got back from seeing Thor: The Dark World. I love that they are now giving subtitle to movies instead of just numbers. Make them feel like they stand on their own more. I took Lisa Worby Scotlynn Worby and Braeden. The kids hadnt seen the first Thor and only Braeden had seen the Avengers so far (I will change that soon), both of them were glued to the screen the entire time. As opposed to Lisa who I had to pull off the screen during the shirtless Chris Hemsworth scene Overall three non-comic people really enjoyed the movie. As the comic-geek in the group, I liked it a lot. Its not perfect, but its a very good movie and well worth its place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. My one knock would be Id like them to have utilized Christopher Ecclestons acting ability more. A scene where we get to see his motivation and perhaps feel a bit of empathy for him wouldve been nice. We got that with Laufey in the first movie. The humor in the movie was great, so well timed and the connection between Loki and Thor on the ship was perfect. And seeing Battle-Frigga was so damn cool. My only other complaint, the switch of actors playing Fandral took me out of every scene he was in. Not that the role was huge, but it was jarring. Overall a very good movie that Ill probably wander out at some point and see again.
